Things First Time Home Buyer’s Should Know

Prioritize the improtance of Price,Condition,Size and Location

This will become a series of blogs. Before going into your agent’s office or meeting with them there are so things which you should have answers for.  If you were to come to me and say I want to buy a home for my family. I’d like to know how large is your family and weather or not it will grow. To say I want to by a home is a blank canvas to me. I need to help you paint me the picture you have of the home you are looking to purchase.

Before I can truly help you in your home buying process, I need to know more about you to understand your homeownership needs. Are you handy or do you hire professionals to accomplish home improvement task? Do you desire a larger or smaller home? DO you want a lawn? Without information I have to take you to listing and try to learn what you’re looking for or try to help you picture yourself in that home. The fact is if you have the answer to a few simple questions, it helps you decide whether the property is a fit for your needs.

The home buying process can be discouraging at time s for first time home buyers and I do not want t add to that list of discouragements by showing homes out of the price range. If you like the home but can’t afford it but the are others in the area which may need a little TLC, would they interest you. If you love the home but it much to large or small for your needs it impractical for you. But if you are relocating because you want to be closer to you parents or grandkids then there is little need for me to show you listing which are further away.

You need to not only know the answers to these questions but it would be enlightening to have them arranged in order of importance to you.

Of the following items which are more important to you during your home purchasing process.

  • Price
  • Condition
  • Size
  • Location

We all have different needs when purchasing a home or property for buying our home upon, util I have the answers to those questions I am trying to help you tell me the answers to them. Location, location, location isn’t always the most important thing for everyone when they are purchasing a home. When you come to me knowing those answers and the order, you’d place them in it helps us have a much easier time in helping you acquire your next home. Your needs are most likely prioritized in your mind, please , please let your agent know the priority you would place the order you’d place those four items in and have a smoother start to your home purchasing process.
