Real Estate Professionals

Today the news seems to be covering the story of the agreement reached between the NAR but are doing so in a manner which makes all real estate brokers and agents and property management professionals seem guilty. As an honest broker I wish to take a moment to inform you of some facts which the news media haven’t taken the time to make an effort to disclose. I do this not because I believe that all agents, brokers and managers are honest, but because I know we’re not all the scoundrels the media is painting us to be. There are good honest real estate agents out their and I choose to believe that we outnumber the others.

So, I am going to give you a few facts about my profession.

Each and every real estate professional has promise to act in accordance with the 17 articles of Ethics. This code is a living code and changes and adjust to the needs of the times. We are the first profession to have established a code of ethics, all others with a code of ethics have followed our lead.

If you walk into my office or meet me in a coffee shop or at the restaurant and we talk about real estate you are a customer and you will remain a customer until you sign your name on a form.

Once you have signed your name you have become my client and I am bound by the code of ethics to grant you your entitled fiduciary responsibility.  The reasons why you should use a real estate professional are on website which you can look up and read the pros and cons. There is no doubt in my mind that agents earn every nickel they receive and provide a much-needed service. If you disagree, you’re entitled to your opinion. You may be thinking you’ll brose the internet and find your next property. Don’t be surprised when you discover that the information is a tad bit out of date.

After the attack on 911 agents got together and figured out what they could do to aid some of those in need. There was nine million dollars raised in 21 days for those with housing needs. Some people lost the jobs but their rents and house payment continued to be due. There have been 45 states which have received aid form The Realtors Relief Foundation and the five who have not received any aid haven’t applied for it yet. There has been $43,000,000 dollars given out. I also want you to be aware that all this is done by volunteers so that 100% of all donations go toward the relief effort. Not one red cent goes to a realtor for the help in this indoor.

I am not saying we are all perfect, but the majority of us are honest and try our utmost to perform an honorable service to our communities. We like everyone else have to do so one person at a time and we also are that person. The next time you hear something bad about an agent trey to tell how an agent helped you. Tell them about the Realtors Relief Foundation or maybe find out how you can join this simple act by send $5.00 and then tell them why you support it knowing that all of your donation goes toward the relief of those in need.

He is a service provider for all people. We will all rise together when we band together and help one another.
