Things To Reconsider Before Purchasing That Home

There are people who would not mind these situations and there are others who would prefer them but I believe that most people would wish not to purchase homes next to the following types of properties. I am not saying never purchase these properties but you need to seriously consider all the information about a property before its purchase.

Whether you’re a real estate investor or a first-time home owner house hunting can be frustrating. You may discover your next purchase during your daily routine or it may take half a year or longer. Along the journey most buyers meet with the need to compromise. Then there are those limits which our budgets place upon us. But if you continue your searching before long you will probably be placing your offer on a property. Though many people go house hunting with their wish list in hand or in mind often they do not consider the property next door to them.

The following type of properties are the types you may wish to reconsider:

  • Living next to a park. If you have small children the appeal of living near a park my out way the following considerations.
  • The evidence suggest that crime rates are higher in areas near public parks in urban communities.
  • If it is a nature lover parks those animals which live out there may have a habit of wondering onto your property looking for food, shelter or just being a noisy neighbor.
  • Privacy can become an issue near parks.

Gas Stations:

  • The gas station next to you will affect the air quality of your property.
  • Traffic in and out at all hours are often created by gas stations
  • The deliveries of their product come at all hours which don’t disrupt the station peak business hours.

Schools:

If you have small children then often, we prefer living close to good schools. Close is close but next to is often to much traffic, noise, trash and trespassing.

Church: many things in common with schools but they tend to be noisy neighbors.

Empty lots:

When I was a kid two doors down there was a nice empty lot. We claimed it as did every other kid on the block. We build forts, played games. Other came to dump trash, change car oil.

Then one day we heard the awakening sound of construction. People were concerned about what was being built there, but they had no control over the new neighbor in our neighborhood. Once it was known three families moved away. It was not wise to assume that a house would have been built there. Who could stop the people from dumping and guess who cleaned it up. If you have the ability to purchase both properties it may make sense but if not at least check the zoning requirements for that vacant property, they may differ from the houses regulations.

When I was a kid the train tracks where next to our back field. Many would thin it would be a bad neighbor but not us. we missed the noise when we grew up and moved away. We ( the children loved those trains tracks or parents had a different opinion.
