Rainy Days

It has been raining hard for two days, but these have not been days off. They are days to catch up on paperwork. Days to study new ideas and research them out. Days off planning future builds and days of reconnecting with the mental side off the career I’ve chosen.

Yesterday during my running I received a call from someone who needed a little help. I was asked a question to which I was not the best person to call, but I did have some suggestions as to how I would approach the situation. AS I told the person what I would be looking up from the search engines. I recalled someone I looked up but after studying what they did or perhaps I should state their expertise I decided to search further for the expert I desired. I felt that this person could have been the perfect fit so I explained to them that I had never personally used this individual but felt they would be better able to help them in their situation. I also gave them the websites addresses and phone numbers I used of my searching.

The person thanked me, to which I replied that I believe there are times when I learn things or gather information that I am not the person it was intended for. I explained to her how out of nowhere I meet someone or an old acquaintance or potential client contacts me who may be the person the information was intended for. She was pleasantly surprised to hear me refer the credit to someone bigger than myself. Most people believe in karma. I believe in God. Still there are twelve law of Karma which shed light on eternal truths.

  • Cause and effect

Nothing we do goes unnoticed. What we put into our lives comes back. If you desire to be happy, peaceful and loved then you must show love, be happy, share your love and become a person who is a true friend to others.

  • Creation

Life requires our participation in order to unfold itself. It doesn’t just unfold on its own. To be loved, to be happy, to be helpful and a true friend to others is a choice we make. What we project is what we attract. Surround yourself with the thing you wish to have in your life and then simple become yourself.

  • Humility

If when you look out into the world all that you see is negativity and enemies then you do not be focused on the highest level of life. We must except change if we desire change.

  • Growth

Be, wherever you go. We are the one who must change. It is not the people places or things around us. Every person you meet has the ability to teach you something, every place we go and everything we see has some lesson we can learn from. It may be a pathway to deeper understanding. Wherever you go, whatever you do be there that moment.

  • Responsibility

If there is something wrong in your life, there’s something wrong with you. It goes back to cause and effect. We reap what we sow. Be careful here because sometimes the higher power lets us be used to help others along their ways just as others have been placed along our paths to help guide us.

  • Connectivity

Each step we take leads us to our next step. Life is a matter of properly putting the building blocks together. We must have a firm foundation for what we build. The first blocks are not greater in value than the last ones, both are necessary to complete our build. We must build in the order these lessons come for us.

  • Focus

We have only one mind and can not concentrate on two things at once. If we are focused on self-improvements. Then we should sow a better life. It is impossible to be doing this while thoughts of greed, or anger fill our thoughts.

  • Giving and hospitality.

Perhaps the most famous idea from Plato is his Allegory of the Cave. The person who learns a life lesson and keeps going down his path and never helps others has wasted the lesson. It is by putting our lessons to use by helping others that we show we have learned the lessons.

  • Here and Now

We cannot be here now wile looking backward to find thing to worry about our futures. Old ways have to give way to the new behaviors, and new patterns in order to obtain new ways and new patterns.

  • Change

History they say repeats itself. It also keeps doing it until we change the path we are traveling on.

  • Patience’s Reward

Rewards require doing. Or perhaps I should say rewards of lasting value require toil. There is satisfaction which comes from doing. It is knowing that rewards come in their own time that helps makes our journeys peaceful.

  • Significance
  • We get back from life what we put into it. Lesser contributions have little impact on the whole and have no ability to diminish another’s life.

Everything listed is a choice we make. They are the results of thinking positively and acting upon our beliefs. Rainy days are not for doing nothing: they are for becoming who we desire to be.
