One of the steps to making your budget is to be realistic. To set realistic goals. This is because when you work and put your heart into achieving and you miss the mark it is disheartening. It is not realistic for me to think I will be able to finish a project in a year when I know that it takes 18 months to get the plans through the city. When I call for inspection and they are two months out. To go out looking for the right property and have it in the bag in four months when I know escrows of 90 days are rare since COVID 19 and there are many set backs that can slow down the process which are out of our control. At times these things seem overwhelming, but the one who push on who do the best they can. The ones who dare to dream big and set goals and adapt to the changes in spite of the setbacks. Those are the people who push through and make a difference.
A successful business is one which provides a needed service to the public. There may be times when you may not be able to preform like you would like to but keep on pushing and looking and dreaming. Study the market, dream of how you would develop the property or how you would use it and take the little steps to becoming the person you dream of. Develop friends who do what you wish to do. Use this opportunity to grow in understanding. Help others achieve their dreams and in time you will obtain you own.
Making realistic plans and adjusting them as needed will help you keep your positive attitude. I lot of what we do is physical but sometimes the hardest work is the mental aspect of the process.
