To install your windows, you need to fine tune your opening so that it is just right for your window.
AS a helpful hint when you pull to measure your winds do so from the corners because there is a little raised seam where the vinyl is melted together.

After you’ve cut your rough opening to size you then cut out the opening into the fabric of your house wrapping. You should notice that my bottom line is longer than my opening. This is so I can extend the cut to the width of the sealing tape.

I then extend the bottom cut line on each side of the widow to the width of the tape I am using. But I cut a 45-degree angle at the top from each corner.
Once this is finished, I double the width of the tape and I add this flexible tape to the bottom corners of the window opening. This tape call for being applied to the wooden structure itself but each manufacture is different so be sure to follow their instruction. If there is any part that you are unsure of e mail them and get clarification. Run the instruction by your architect and engineer so they can approve them or make suggestions as to how to apply this system.

Be sure to use you J roller to roll ever layer of any tape as they are pressure activated. Once this is done you cut your bottom piece of flashing tape so that it barely tucks in behind the cut out of you house wrap.

Once this was finished, I dry fitted the window. I then cleaned the flange, and then used a window and door caulking on the sides and top of the window flange. I did not do the bottom because I want any water that may get behind this system to have a way of escaping. I chose to us flat panhead screws to attach my windows. I place a screw in the center of each corner slot but did not tighten it fully. Checked for level as I did this and then I placed a screw in the bottom of the side. I then went in and made sure the window functioned properly. Then I return to fill each slot on the top and side with screw unless a screw was going to penetrate to low into the flashing. Be sure to j roll this when it is installed to create a tighter seal.

I then apply the flashing to each side and let it go a little past the bottom flashing. I j roll it to help it adhere then I add the top strip of flashing and j roll it also. Then let the laps of the house wrap close in and tap the seams back into position starting at the bottom and working my way up. When this is done I tape the wrap to the window itself and J-roll the tape joints.
