A few blogs back I wrote on the benefits of walking. I am still walking my 5+ miles a day, except after surgeries when I told to give myself two days off before returning to my routine. Today while I was on my morning walk, I was thinking about how these simple walks have grown into a fitness routine. Nothing elaborate but they are effective. Many contractor and real estate employees know that our jobs are stressful from time to time. We also know that if we do a great job in providing our clients with excellent service, they most likely will not tell a soul. Unless asked to do so. We are also aware that if we do something wrong or that the client perceives as being wrong, that they will shout that from the rooftops. Yesterday I had one of those stressful events pop up after I thought my day was done. I had to make the calls to try and get these issues resolved. Because of my routine I think I did a lot better at not allowing the stress get the best of me.
This may not sound like a big deal until you mix it with some of the findings that are coming out about cancer.

I also find more time to do things now that I am walking and doing my exercise routine.
- I’m taking better care of myself
- Because of this I take better care of others
- I’m going through the day with my head up and smiling.
- I believe that will make a better person to be around.
When that issue showed its ugly little mug yesterday, I approached solving it differently. I did jump to the end of the snowball effect and declared that the entire world was doomed. I went to the paperwork and found the error. I then called the responsible party. I did not waste my time with the blame game; I told them the facts and gave them the solution. Soon we’ll know if they do as they should or if I’ll be doing what I must Rather way the end is in sight and the world will barely notice that it went awry for a moment.
It nice to think I am still learning. It’s great to know that my little exercise routine may be helping me fight off cancer. AS I said before I do not believe in cancer free, I believe that we awaken our cancers. Looking at all the benefits of a daily exercise routing One I never thought of is that while I’m walking, I enter into a relaxed place where my mind can meditate and develop a plan for the rest of the day. As I clear away the debris which tend to bog me down.
Baby steps help me see the steps to climb the mountain. Reaching the goal with the least possible friction is always the best way. I never thought I’d find it down this path.
