The reason that lending institutions send you offer for their credit card is to lure you into a situation where you have to pay their high interest rates. The long and short of it is they wish to make money.
However, my reason for using credit cards is different. I load up the card and pay it off before the time laps. I only owe what I purchased, but many cards now give double points. I receive such a card recently. It claimed not early payoff penalties. However, when I paid the card off ads described they lowered my purchasing power for a week without informing me of it. When they called, I explained that I have never heard of a card company punishing the client for pay off their credit before.
The next strange thing which occurred was I made a purchase after my projected amount was once again restored and they declined it. Four- and one-half hours later they called and ask if I had attempted to make the purchase or was it fraudulent. I said it was me, then was told to try the purchase. Did they think I stood at the counter that long? Why hadn’t they contacted me before declining the transaction? Having a card declined with a line behind you is not the most comfortable, I put their card back in its place and pull out my debut card and Paid the merchant.
They sent me the offer of their card, they said it was based on my credit worthiness. Then they did those two embarrassing things to me. Do I really need a card that questions my every use of it. These cards are supposed to be easy and simple. If they aren’t do we need them. COVID is over and it is time we hold those who continue to act as if it is still going strong. If they do not provide us with the desired services then we might want to rethink supplying them with our business.
